Sometimes motivation can be difficult. Keeping ourselves motivated for the long haul is important if we plan to achieve our goals though. So how do we keep up our motivation? There are a lot of ways to do that but one of my favorites is the use of motivational quotes. If you have read some of my other journal prompts then you know that I love quotes. They can sum everything up and give me a little push to keep going.
“If you don’t do what’s best for your body, you’re are the one who comes up on the short end.” -Julius Erving
I recently found a fantastic book called “The Joy of Fitness” by Jackie Corley. This book is full of inspirational quotes to help keep you motivated to keep working on your fitness goals. If fitness isn’t your goal, there are a lot of books out there for a variety of goals. Or you can always do some Google searches and see what comes up.
Until you believe you can do it, it’s going to be very difficult to convince anyone else you can do it.” -Toni Sorenson
Today’s journal prompt is to create a quotations page in your journal. This can be a lot of fun. If you are into that bullet journaling trend where it is more like a work of art than a journal page then you are going to love this one. Use different colors, fonts, and design elements to create a beautiful page of quotes. If you are not into getting creative that’s fine just write them out on the page.
“Eliminate the mindset of can’t because you can do anything.” -Tony Horton
If you are interested in finding some good quotes for fitness goals considering Jackie Corley’s book. The quotes in this post all came from her book. There are quotes for different categories including:
- Better Late Than Never
- Baby Steps
- Eyes on the Prize

- No Pain, No Gain
- Take Hold of Your Health
Each one can help keep you motivated to stick to your goals. Going to the gym, eating healthy, and meeting your goals is hard. Keep your head lifted with some inspiration from your quotations page. Get the book here!
